Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry and Kitchen Attendant to support daily operations at our mineral exploration camp at the historic township of Qulissat, Disko Bay. The camp will run from July 1st through to mid-September 2026 supporting a helicopter assisted diamond drilling program.
This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization across multiple areas, including staff common areas, bathrooms, toilets, dining spaces, and laundry and storage facilities. Key responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and toilets, vacuuming the dining hall, and periodically refreshing staff rooms to ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment. The position also requires consistent management of laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
In addition to cleaning duties, the role includes monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure all materials are stocked and available when needed. The successful candidate will also assist in the kitchen during peak times, supporting basic food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen upkeep as required. This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail, time management, and flexibility. The position operates 6 days per week with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours daily.
Requirements
The camp is a dry camp zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol consumption will be enforced
Candidates with basic English knowledge would be considered an advantage
Candidates must be physically fit and use to work in a semi remote location
Evidence and references of past work experience would be an advantage
Staff will receive a single private heated room with all meals and transportation provided to and from site
Renumeration
The role will pay per day, renumeration will be discussed with successful applicants
