Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Geotechnical Assistant to support daily operations at our mineral exploration camp at the historic township of Qulissat, Disko Bay. The camp will run from July 1st through to mid-September 2026 supporting a heli assisted diamond drilling program.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience with servicing and fuelling generators and a basic working knowledge of small loaders or similar equipment. In this role, you will support geotechnical and geological operations by assisting with the handling, cutting, and sampling of drill core under supervision, ensuring accurate and efficient sample preparation. A strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work in a rugged, team-oriented environment are essential.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting with general camp and site duties as required. Candidates should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and willing to take direction while also demonstrating initiative. Requirements
The camp is a dry camp zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol consumption will be enforced
Candidates with basic English knowledge would be considered an advantage
Candidates must be physically fit and use to work in a semi remote location
Evidence and references of past work experience would be an advantage
Staff will receive a single private heated room with all meals and transportation provided to and from site
Renumeration
The role will pay per day, renumeration will be discussed with successful applicants
